About Dr. Ester Kwok

Dr. Ester Kwok majored in Chemistry with a minor in Biology at Boston University. She attended McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas, where clerkships in rheumatology and neurology taught her the importance of thorough history-taking and physical examination in order to arrive at accurate diagnoses.

She did her internship and residency at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania, focusing on Primary Care Medicine. The program was unique in that it afforded residents the opportunity to work directly under the supervision of attending physicians, as there were no fellows at the time.

During her residency, Dr. Kwok refined her medical and technical skills in critical care, specialty care, and routine care settings. To provide the best care for patients, she researched their conditions thoroughly. This experience strengthened her passion for treating patients as a whole, including the management of some specialty care alongside routine general care; and reinforced her commitment to continuous learning.

Her extensive employment history includes roles at El Camino Health, Stanford Health Care, and several other healthcare facilities, including emergency and urgent care positions. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

On a personal level, her faith is the source of her strength, fueling her dedication to serve those in need.

Beyond her professional and spiritual commitments, Dr. Kwok enjoys spending time with her family, her dog Keiko, and her cat Skippy.
